#GAMETIME is for the people

For me - everyday this summer is GAMETIME.

We live in a crazy age of non-stop stimulation where every single day is met with dozens and dozens of "freestyles" and "mixtape albums" that never find a playlist after the first 48 hours of listening. This track is symbolic of the longest year of work and planning that the True Thorobredz team has had yet and we've been putting in crazy hours to prepare for the Olympic launch and subsequent track/video release. The track's hook echoes the sentiments that we're all feeling as the track spread and picks up steam: "Feels like I'm gonna make it!" Its more than a line in a song, its literally the phrase that we repeat when someone asks us why we're still chasing that dream.

This track is for everyone who has ever used their friend's, family's, "hater's" and even supporter's doubts as ammunition in their battle to conquer a dream. Its the feeling our Olympic athletes felt when their friends laughed at their 5am training regimen that has them competing in London this August. Its the feeling of throwing your graduation cap in the air, driving out of the lot with your first car, landing that kickflip down the stairs while security chases after you and lastly, its the feeling of succeeding in the face of opposition when everyone doubted you except YOU.

This is the summer of dreams and it is officially GAMETIME. GAMETIME may be my song but this summer, it is OUR anthem - this is for you. Share, spread, repost, turn it up and enjoy. Let's make history.

Aspektz new single GAMETIME will be released July 27th on iTunes, the same day as the 2012 London Olympics Opening Ceremony. This is Aspektz checking in. I am going to start writing some very personal anecdotes about the adventures we are going on to give you an inside look at what is going on with my life right now. As most of you know, 2011 was a crazy year with lots of traveling and opportunities. Half-way through 2012, the same thing can be said but on a much higher level. Between label meetings and planning the roll-out for this new single, produced by Triple A, things are looking incredible bright. The National Anthem's have been sung, the first pitch has been thrown and any challengers have had their opportunity to tap gloves... It's #GAMETIME
